On March 14, 2025, the auspicious appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, ISKCON Bangalore organised the Arunodaya Kirtan, a citywide celebration of the Lord\u2019s divine mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the golden incarnation of Lord Krishna for Kali-yuga, appeared over 500 years ago in Navadvipa, West Bengal (1486 A.D.) and inaugurated the Harinama Sankirtana movement, the prescribed yuga-dharma (spiritual practice for this age).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He instructed everyone to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, honour and distribute prasadam, and engage in devotional service. Through this simple yet profound process, one becomes free from material conditioning and reawakens the spiritual knowledge and devotion to Krishna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following His divine instructions, over a thousand devotees chanted the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and sang Vaishnava bhajans across 130 locations in Bengaluru. Additionally, Arunodaya Kirtans were held in Davanagere, Mandya, KGF, and Bangarpet, spreading the joy of Lord Chaitanya\u2019s teachings to even more towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The streets, gated communities, and parks resounded with the divine vibrations of Krishna\u2019s holy names as devotees enthusiastically performed Harinama Sankirtana and distributed Kaja prasadam to over 5,000 people. They also distributed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 10,000+ Hare Krishna Mahamantra cards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 5,000+ books about Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu\u2019s life and teachings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Many people were introduced to chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra by receiving Japa Malas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many onlookers, initially surprised, were drawn to the devotional atmosphere, with some joining in and chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra 108 times.<\/p>\n\n\n
