Lord Jagannatha is the Lord of the universe and He is none other than Lord Krishna. Lord Baladeva is His elder brother who gives spiritual strength and pleasure to the devotees. Subhadra is Their sister. The forms of Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra show Them in Their highest ecstatic feelings. Every year a grand Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannatha is celebrated at Vaikuntha Hill and hundreds of devotees take part in pulling the Ratha on this occasion.
Sri Krishna is the Supreme Lord and the origin of the entire creation. He possesses all the six opulences – wealth, strength, fame, beauty, knowledge and renunciation – to an unlimited degree. He is the ultimate purpose of all sacrifices and austerities, the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities. The Vedic scriptures like Srimad-Bhagavatam and Brahma Samhita vividly describe the glories of Lord Krishna.
Lord Narasimha is the half-lion half-man incarnation of the Supreme Lord who appeared to protect His devotee Prahlada from his demoniac father Hiranyakashipu. Devotees pray to Lord Narasimha for protection from evil influences and for removing all obstacles on their spiritual path. The Sudarshana chakra is the most powerful weapon eternally carried by the Supreme Lord (Vishnu or Krishna) as His personal weapon. The Lord uses this weapon for the protection of His devotees.

Just as a materialist engages in constructing a big skyscraper, a devotee engages in constructing a big temple for Lord Vishnu. The materialist tries to satisfy himself in relation to his body by constructing a skyscraper, but the devotee tries to satisfy the Super self, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, by constructing the temple. Although both are engaged in the association of material activities, the devotee is liberated, and the materialist is conditioned.
It is said in the Vishnu Dharmottara that a person who builds a temple for Sri Vishnu will get the same result as performing the Rajasuya Yajna and Ashvamedha Yajna. We invite you to accept this unique spiritual opportunity for participating in the construction of this glorious temple.
